Genesis Analytics was contracted by GIZ’s Skills Development for a Green Economy (SD4GE) project team to conduct a scoping exercise regarding the potential of using pay-for-performance models to create jobs in specific growth sectors in South Africa.

The Development Bank of Rwanda appointed Genesis to develop a monitoring, evaluation and learning plan for the Renewable Energy Fund project.

Genesis is the long-term monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) partner on the Resilient Waters Programme, a USAID's five-year programme in the Okavango and Limpopo river basins.

The Innovation Hub Management Company’s Green Economy Unit engaged Genesis to identify potential opportunities that exist for SMMEs in the Gauteng city region to contribute to the growth of the South African economy by providing innovative solutions to the water-security challenge.

Genesis Analytics was contracted by the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) to conduct a programme evaluation of the relevance, effectiveness, expected impact and long-term sustainability of the Sustainable Energy for Economic Development (SEED) programme, which is funded by the Rockefeller Foundation and Virgin Unite.

Genesis has been comissioned by DFID to conduct an 18-month climate-smart agricultural education and policy support project that aims to support the governments of Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.  

Genesis provided support for the climate change risk assessment and the financing strategy of the Kikonge Hydropower Project in Tanzania.

Vuna commissioned a Climate Smart Agricultural (CSA) innovation models impact analysis to assess select Vuna Agriculture Development Facility (ADF) projects and identify intervention pathways to sustained climate resilience at scale.

Genesis was appointed by Vuna to work across a number of stakeholders to coordinate the implementation of a community-level seed production and distribution model in semi-arid districts of Zimbabwe.

Genesis was contracted by the Department of Environmental Affairs  to conduct a socio-economic and environmental impact evaluation of the People and Parks projects between 2005/06 and 2015/16. 

Genesis was commissioned by a civil society organisation to review and comment on the South African government’s long-term energy planning documents, which were published in late 2016. 

Seven successful cases of climate-smart agriculture (CSA) in Zimbabwe, documented by Genesis, are to be included in a manual being written for the country’s eight agricultural colleges. Genesis was contracted by Vuna, a regional DFID-funded programme on CSA to document these cases.

Genesis was engaged by the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) to research a business case for engaging the private sector in designing and delivering climate-smart solutions.  

Genesis has been the Leona M and Harry B Helmsley Charitable Trust's monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) partner since 2014. Over this period Genesis has provided quality assurance, evaluation and learning support to the trust across a number of grantees.

Genesis was employed to assist the Climate Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) in Rwanda in developing a business case for climate-compatible development in Rwanda.

Genesis was contracted to review PropCom Mai-Karfi array of interventions from a climate lens and advise them on how to “climate-proof" its intervention activities in light of regional and national policy and implementation practices.

Genesis Analytics and Digby Wells Environmental were contracted by the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME), in partnership with the Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA), to conduct an implementation evaluation of environmental governance in the mining sector. The purpose was to assess the relevance and effectiveness of environmental legislation in mining and the implementation in achieving its objective.

Genesis Analytics provided detailed recommendations to the DBSA on its M&E framework and developed a comprehensive M&E system for its Green Fund.
