Climate resilience and adaptation is about identifying, quantifying and mitigating climate risks, preparing for disasters, diversifying opportunities, streamlining climate into policies and budgets, enhancing nature-based solutions, protecting the most vulnerable, and anticipating the impacts of migration and urbanisation.

Reviewing progress on climate disaster risk financing in Africa

Genesis was contracted by the African Development Bank (AfDB) to conduct a Mid-Term Review (MTR) of the five-year (2019-2023) Africa Disaster Risk Financing (ADRiFi) programme.

Refining comprehensive risk management in Sub-Saharan Africa

Genesis provided technical support to fine-tune the United Nations’ comprehensive risk management (CRM) approach in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The initiative was commissioned by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction’s (UNDRR) Regional Office for Africa (ROA).

Nedlac, representing South Africa’s Presidential Climate Commission (PCC), engaged Genesis Analytics to undertake a pivotal task – developing a concept note for an investment plan focused on resilience and adaptation.
