We recruit globally for young talent that is passionate about unlocking value on the continent. Successful candidates are placed into a niche practice area that best suits their skill set, interests and personal capability.
Genesis recruits a cohort of analysts annually. These are the classes (from left) 2020, 2019 and 2018. Due to the COVID pandemic in 2021 the induction of the class of 2021 was done online.
We recruit newly or recently qualified graduates from African and international universities to join as analysts. On occasion, honours students and external junior hires with up to one year's working experience may also be considered for analyst positions.
Our mass recruitment programme runs between January and March, as well as April-July of each year. These processes are designed for current students at university-level, or recently qualified and employed graduates who would like to pursue opportunities at Genesis. We also recognise that there are prospective candidates who are interested in transitioning into economics consulting and prospective candidates may submit their profiles in anticipation of future opportunities using this link. Our dedicated recruitment specialists will be in touch with you when suitable opportunities arise.
At a graduate level, we require a minimum set of documentation to establish your suitability for opportunities at Genesis. These documents include the following:
A comprehensive CV
A certified copy of your identity document or passport
Complete copies of all tertiary transcripts from first- to final year of completion
For opportunities that are actively advertised, the following process may apply:
Applications are received and screened against required skills, competencies and experience
An initial exploratory telephonic interview will be held
You will be asked to complete an online case study assessment
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a panel interview
Successful candidates are added to our internship database and offers are made dependent on available project work.
