Framework to support decision-making for DBSA’s Green Funds
The DBSA wanted to ensure that its M&E system was aligned to international good practices and was sufficiently detailed to guide the M&E of its various initiatives.
Additionally, the DBSA's Green Fund required a comprehensive M&E system to guide M&E at a fund level, portfolio level and project level. This system was envisaged to provide detailed information that could guide decision-making and implementation.
Genesis conducted an in-depth review of all the M&E documents at the DBSA level and Green Fund level and interviewed relevant staff at the DBSA and the Green Fund.
On the basis of this, Genesis provided detailed recommendations to the DBSA on its M&E framework and developed a comprehensive M&E system for the Green Fund. To implement the DBSA recommendations and Green Fund system, Genesis provided capacity-development workshops to the DBSA M&E staff and DBSA Green Fund staff.
