Financing adaptive social protection in fragile nations
Genesis was contracted to conduct a multi-country study of the public finance systems and processes used as part of adaptive social protection (ASP) responses in fragile countries over the past five to six years. The evidence gathered will help UNICEF to strengthen ASP systems in fragile countries.

Genesis was contracted by the Education Development Centre under USAID’s Leading Through Learning Global Platform agreement to develop a Higher Education Employability Toolkit for Africa as well as Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

Enhancing economic prospects for youth on the margins
Genesis, in partnership with Generation Unlimited (GenU) and 10 UNICEF country offices, is conducting a foundational landscape analysis across Africa and the Middle East that informs the development of the investment agenda in each country and addresses challenges confronting the youth.

From learning to earning: Assessing SA’s youth skilling model
Genesis was contracted by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to assess the effectiveness of the Presidential Youth Employment Intervention (PYEI) workstream model in fostering demand-led skills and creating an agile workforce.

How gender barriers hamper immunisation in India
Genesis is supporting UNICEF India to analyse how gender differentials in the Indian states of Maharashtra and Bihar are impacting the effectiveness of immunisation efforts. The initiative is part of our long-term agreement to provide behavioural sciences services to UNICEF.

After advising a private equity fund on the acquisition of a proptech SaaS player in South Africa, Genesis was retained to develop a five-year strategic roadmap to guide this business investor. A key aspect of the work was to ensure that management and the new equity partners were aligned going forward.
