Our team works closely with ministries of Education and their partners to strengthen education systems across the Young World. Our deep understanding of effective strategies for enhancing teaching and learning, coupled with our insider’s perspective on policy change, equips us to drive positive transformation in the educational landscape. Our team, with its combination of experience as educators, policymakers, advisers and researchers, is dedicated to refining strategies, enhancing planning and implementation, and improving the quality and coverage of services.

    Strengthening teacher professional development in Kenya

    Genesis undertook a comprehensive assessment of Kenya’s School-Based Teacher Support Initiative (SBTSi) at the behest of the World Bank. This entailed an evaluation of the design, implementation and outcomes of the initiative in order to understand its impact on teacher professional development.

    Education finance tailored to Papua New Guinea context

    As part of a collaboration between the World Bank and the Government of Papua New Guinea (PNG), Genesis customised educational finance modules for officials in PNG’s Department of Treasury and Department of Education, and created a detailed teacher guide for local trainers.

    Piloting an EdTech solution for students in Sierra Leone

    Rising Academies, Genesis Analytics and the Tony Blair Institute have teamed up in an initiative that is piloting Khan Academy’s educational platform in secondary schools across Sierra Leone.

    Assisting a low-fee independent school to articulate its impact

    Genesis in Society, the firm's corporate social investment arm, engaged Molo Mhlaba to conduct a programmatic assessment of the school, update the school’s theory of change and establish an impact framework to help Molo Mhlaba build an investment case for the school’s future donors.

    Evaluation of Catch-Up programme in Luapula, Zambia

    Genesis is evaluating the Catch-Up programme in Luapula, one of Zambia’s 10 provinces, with the goal of improving literacy and numeracy among young learners using the Teaching at the Right Level approach.

    Highlighting impact of girls’ education project in Zimbabwe

    Genesis collaborated with Research Methods International (RMI) to undertake a comprehensive endline evaluation of the Supporting Adolescent Girls’ Education (SAGE) Programme in Zimbabwe, assessing its relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and impact.
