    Genesis worked with the National Planning Commission, a nucleus government advisory agency, to assess state-owned enterprises' performance and contribution to achieving the National Development Plan’s Vision 2030 of economic transformation and inclusive growth.

    Evaluating project to empower 2000 scholars through school

    The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) appointed Genesis to conduct a mid-term review of their 10-year programme to support 2,000 scholars (primarily girls) in Rwanda and Ethiopia through secondary school, and to further support a group of the Rwandan scholars through university.

    Genesis was contracted by the Small Enterprise Assistance Fund (SEAF) to conduct an external evaluation of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED) programme to assess its performance to date.

    Genesis partnered with an international donor organisation to compare the operational processes of a group of agri-SME lenders to identify ways of serving the agricultural value chain more effectively.

    Our behavioural solutions team lifts school attendance by 14%

    Genesis Analytics partnered with the Fun Learning for Youth (FLY) programme in Alexandra to help them improve attendance and attainment rates. The interventions resulted in a 14% increase in student attendance across all grades over the five-week period.

    Strategy for mobile-wallet partnership opportunities in Africa

    Genesis Analytics was commissioned by a global card association to conduct a mobile-wallet partnership opportunity assessment across five countries, Ghana, Senegal, Madagascar, Cote d’Ivoire and Mauritius. This entailed assessing and mapping the payment landscape in each country and identifying key payment opportunities in the mobile money, card and digital payments space.

    Cloud-based solutions could reduce banking costs in Africa

    Genesis Analytics and Orange Business Services (OBS), with the support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, published a research report on Cloud Banking in Africa: The Regulatory Opportunity, which explores the potential for cloud computing to reduce the cost of technology for banks.

    Evaluation of SA Urban Knowledge Hub TA Programme

    Genesis Analytics was commissioned by the World Bank to conduct an evaluation of the South African Urban Knowledge Hub Technical Assistance Programme (TA programme), funded by Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO).
