Genesis Analytics has played an important role in addressing inefficiencies in South Africa’s visa system, which have hindered the growth of the tourism sector. Genesis was appointed by the Casino Association of South Africa to conduct an independent economic assessment of the KwaZulu-Natal Gambling and Betting Board’s Saturation Study. The study was undertaken by the board to provide stakeholders in the province’s gambling industry a basis from which to make future applications for gambling venues in the province.

Genesis was approached by a major alcohol manufacturer and distributor to assess the appropriateness of excise tax as a tool to reduce harmful consumption of alcohol and to raise revenue for the state.
