Genesis has kicked off the new year by strengthening its capability and expanding its services in financial risk management. This comes with the appointment of James Bernstein, a top risk professional, as Head of a new Risk Management Unit in the firm’s Financial Institutions Practice.

Genesis Analytics cautions against prescription in the pension fund investment industry

In a policy discussion document on state owned entities it was suggested that the large asset base comprising pension fund investments be leveraged for national development.

Genesis presented awards to three top achievers.

Merger of plant genetics firms to go ahead
Genesis Analytics played a key role as expert economists in the ruling by the Competition Appeal Court (CAC) that approved the merger between DuPont Pioneer, a US-based international developer and supplier of plant genetics, and Pannar, a family firm based in KwaZulu-Natal, subject to several conditions.
