Overview

We are dedicated to optimising social protection and child protection systems to promote human development within the Young World. Social protection encompasses a set of policies and programmes designed to shield individuals from poverty and mitigate risks to their livelihoods and well-being.

      Our work has demonstrated that vulnerability of populations can be reduced by enhancing aspects of social assistance spending such as its adequacy, equity and allocative and technical efficiency.

      Social insurance includes programmes and schemes to minimise the negative impact of economic shocks on individuals and families.

      The delivery of social care services is an essential component of social protection and child protection systems. Such services include psychological support, drug rehabilitation and care for the elderly, disabled, victims of violence and abuse and other vulnerable groups.

    Genesis was contracted by UNICEF to examine social protection spending and efficiency in Jordan with the aim of bolstering the government’s efforts in scaling up programmes across the country, while improving their efficiency, quality and uptake.
