Úrsula Larraquy

Senior Associate (Climate Finance and Economics)

Úrsula Larraquy is a senior associate in the Climate Finance and Economics practice. She is based in England.

She is a political economist with expertise in ESG and sustainable finance, project management, political economy analysis, climate policy, carbon footprinting, capacity building and stakeholder engagement.

Úrsula leads a green transition and sustainable financing programme for financial sector institutions in Rwanda. She also leads a study on SME access to green financing in Benin for the World Bank. Úrsula heads Genesis’ task team to calculate the company’s carbon footprint and develop a net zero greenhouse gas emissions plan.

She has advised the International Finance Corporation on climate and sustainability frameworks for governance structures in financial institutions in emerging markets. She has also managed a project providing analytical support to 19 developing country governments with their NDCs and investment plans.

Úrsula has a master’s in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has also studied at Sciences Po Paris and is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
