Maame Awinador-Kanyirige
Manager (Inclusive Finance | Evaluation for Development)
Maame Awinador-Kanyirige is the senior engagement manager for Inclusive Finance in the Evaluation for Development practice. She is based in Ghana.
She has held several key positions including senior policy adviser for Trade and Economic Affairs at the Netherlands Embassy in Ghana, training and business development consultant with Empretec Ghana, partner at Blackbridge Consulting Group Ltd and director of operations for Sakam Savana.
Maame has been a guest lecturer at the Centre for Comparative Law in Africa at the University of Cape Town (UCT). She has contributed to BBC Africa and other media on trade and economics. As project manager for Coderina, she gained insights into investment and funding for NGOs, CSOs and start-ups. She also worked with the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect and South-South News at the UN Headquarters in New York.
She writes and speaks on international trade, economic policy, global politics, investment, private sector development, and women and youth empowerment.
Maame has a bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Pune, India, as well as an honours in International Relations and Politics and a master’s in International Law, both from UCT.
