Layan El Khatib
Associate (Human Development)
Layan El Khatib is an associate in the Human Development practice and is based in Lebanon.
Before joining Genesis, Layan was a consultant with Oxford Policy Management where she worked on designing a grievance redress mechanism and a child protection policy for the Lebanese Ministry of Education.
She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and Management from University College London and a bachelor's in Political Science from the Lebanese American University. Her key areas of interest are education reform and public private partnerships.
In her master’s dissertation, Layan explored the successful determinants of public private partnerships in the education sector by using a mixed methods approach to examine a case study from the Lebanese education system.
