John Ward
Strategy Expert
John Ward is an economic and strategy expert working at the intersection between energy, climate and development policy.
He has almost 20 years’ experience in economic strategy and analysis, the last 10 of which have focused in this core area of interest.
He has a particular focus on the intersection between climate change policy and strategy. His work involves both supporting companies, governments, international financial institutions, philanthropies and donors in developing their strategic approaches to climate action; as well as working with a wide array of stakeholders to improve their ability to access financial resources for this action. He also has expertise in climate-related programme and policy development across a wide range of developed and developing countries.
John has led projects for clients around the world, including a wide range of private sector clients, organisations such as the World Bank, EBRD, EIB, OECD, the United Nations and an array of UK government departments. He has also supported clients in relation to a number of high-profile multilateral initiatives, including the UN High Level Panels on climate finance and the CDM Policy Dialogue.
