Joanna Juzon

Manager (Human Development)

Joanna Juzon is a manager in the Human Development practice at Genesis Analytics. She is based in Portugal. 

She is an education specialist with wide-ranging experience in policy development, sector planning and financing. She has overseen the implementation of large-scale programmes, working directly with government clients across Eastern Africa and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Genesis, Joanna worked as an educational specialist at the World Bank Education Global Practice where she supported government clients in designing and operationalising education sector reforms financed by the organisation’s financial instruments. Her areas of interest and expertise include: early, basic and technical education; decentralised service delivery and sector planning; and labour market and workforce planning.

Joanna has co-authored publications that have shaped the policy dialogue with government clients on their upcoming reform agendas. Among these are publications focusing on demographic dividend, and human capital and economic growth.

Outside of the World Bank work, Joanna has advised non-governmental institutions working in early childhood education. She also led a pilot project for a Berlin-based edu-tech start-up to inform its expansion strategy.

Joanna holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oxford and a master’s from the London School of Economics.
