Jan-Louis van Tonder is a senior associate in the Competition and Regulatory Economics practice.
Prior to joining Genesis Jan-Louis practiced law as a director at a law firm and is qualified in South Africa and England and Wales. His practice focused on commercial, competition and regulatory work across a wide range of industries.
He holds LL.B and LL.M degrees from Nelson Mandela University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Competition Law from University of Pretoria, a Postgraduate Diploma in European Union Competition Law, a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics for Competition Law and an LL.M degree in Competition Law all from King’s College London. He also holds a master's in Competition and Economic Regulation from University of Johannesburg.
