Emma Llewellyn

Practice Manager (Health)

Emma Llewellyn is the practice manager of the Health practice. She is based in Kenya.

She is a senior management and public health professional with extensive experience living and working in East and Southern Africa managing HIV, TB, SRHR and other global health programmes.

Emma has significant operational management experience with health-focused international and local organisations, having managed funding and programmes from USAID, CDC, FCDO, NIH, World Bank, Gates Foundation and other international donors.

She has experience as key personnel on US Government grants, including roles in finance and administration, as principal investigator and in technical leader positions. She has managed multi-country, multi-partner and consortium programmes in Kenya, Eswatini, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Madagascar and Burundi.

Prior to joining Genesis Analytics, Emma held roles with the International Planned Parenthood Federation as the head of region on the FCDO-funded SRHR WISH2ACTION programme; the Health Economics and Epidemiology Research Office in South Africa as the head of operations; PSI Eswatini as the HIV services director; and the Nyanza Reproductive Health Society in Kenya as the director and principal investigator.

Emma holds a master’s in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and an honours in Anatomical Sciences from Edinburgh University.
