Ellie Chesshire
Associate (Human Development)
Ellie Chesshire is an associate in the Human Development practice and is based in England.
She holds a master’s degree in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where her dissertation focused on the barriers to and the quality of female education in Ethiopia. Her particular areas of interest are in education, gender and social protection.
Before joining Genesis, she worked for an education charity supporting vulnerable children in Gondar, Ethiopia, by providing students with the learning materials and financial support. She also worked on projects to advance the quality of female education in the region.
