Ed Dyson
Senior Associate (Human Development)
Ed Dyson is a senior associate in the Human Development practice at Genesis Analytics. He is based in England.
He specialises in labour market policy and workforce development in low- and middle-income countries.
Ed has delivered projects for clients including UNICEF, the World Bank, Save the Children, ITU and GIZ. He has been particularly active in supporting UNICEF’s flagship Generation Unlimited project. His technical assistance has enabled UNICEF to position itself as a key player in youth employment ecosystems across Africa and the Middle East. He also led an investment case for youth in Ukraine, which included the novel application of a cost-benefit analysis for the youth sector.
Before joining Genesis, Ed focused on TVET in Sub-Saharan Africa as a researcher for a Cambridge University-affiliated institute. Before that, he was programme leader of the Ashinaga Africa Initiative, a higher education scholarship programme based in Uganda.
Ed holds a bachelor’s in Political Economy from the University of Birmingham and a master’s in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge.
