Dennis Aliga

Associate (Human Development)

Dennis Aliga is a macroeconomist and an associate in the Public Financial Management (PFM) service line. He is based in Uganda.

He works with governments and other key stakeholders, mainly across Sub-Saharan Africa and the MENA region, to optimise PFM systems. This is achieved through diagnostic work, capacity building and the production of advocacy tools.

At Genesis, he works on human development projects for clients such as UNICEF and the World Bank. He has led fiscal space analyses in several countries and has contributed to influencing social policy.

Prior to Joining Genesis, Dennis was a teaching assistant at the Department of Economics at the University of Pretoria. At the Mastercard Foundation (MCF), he formulated initiatives for the transition of MCF scholars into the job market.

He holds a master’s in Economics from the University of Pretoria.
