Chipo Rusere
Senior Associate (Climate Finance and Economics)
Chipo Rusere is a senior associate in the Climate Finance and Economics practice, and is based in South Africa.
She has four years’ experience consulting on development and climate-change adaptation projects for donors that include the World Bank, FCDO (DFID), World Health Organisation and the French Development Agency (AFD).
Chipo worked in the financial services sector for a credit bureau in Zimbabwe, managing financial inclusion for small-to-medium enterprises and small-scale farmers. Chipo is skilled in research, policy analysis, proposal writing, qualitative and quantitative data analysis as well as training and facilitation. She has experience in planning, delivering and facilitating workshops.
She was a project coordinator and technical analyst for a World Bank-funded project, Developing Guidelines for Screening Climate Change in Sectoral Policies, Plans and Strategies. The project supported the Zambian government in bringing climate change into development. She led the development, facilitated workshops and focus-group discussions, and taught a group of trainers.
She holds a master’s degree in Economic Development from the University of Cape Town.
