Ceri Scott
Senior Associate (Centre of Digital Excellence)
Ceri Scott is a senior associate in the Centre of Digital Excellence.
Her focus has been on strategies that harness the innovative power of business to solve developmental challenges. She has also found a deep interest working on complex, multi-stakeholder issues that require innovative and collaborative ways of problem solving.
More recently, her focus has been to understand and articulate the unique economic value of digital platforms. Notably, she worked with AWS to track the value of cloud for inclusion and innovation, Meta to understand how the social media platform drives African development, through MSMEs and Airbnb to map their contribution to inclusive growth in South Africa, chiefly by lowering the barriers to tourism entrepreneurship.
Some of her other clients include: the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, the National Planning Commission, the African Development Bank and the Public-Private Growth Initiative, Motsepe Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gate Foundation, UNDP, FinMark Trust, Harambee, Sappi, Stanbic Kenya and Anglo American.
Ceri holds an honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Cape Town.
