Ceri Scott
Manager (Frontier Technologies)
Ceri Scott is a Manager in the Frontier Technologies practice and a specialist in artificial intelligence governance, frontier technology adoption, and digital transformation.
With seven years experience, Ceri combines deep technical knowledge of AI systems with strategic insight into the policy, operational, and ethical frameworks required to deploy AI responsibly and at scale.
Ceri's focus spans impact assessments, AI governance, frontier technology adoption, and responsible AI deployment. She has hands-on experience building with and operationalising frontier AI technologies for clients including the Gates Foundation and Mastercard Foundation. Other significant projects include quantifying the investment required to responsibly scale AI across Africa (IDRC); analysing AI's impact on employment in Africa's BPO and ITO sectors (Mastercard Foundation/Caribou Digital); and served as Advocacy Lead for Digital Public Infrastructure for South Africa's G20 chair.
Across her career, Ceri has managed and directed projects for a diverse range of public and private sector clients, including African Development Bank, The South African Presidency, Gates Foundation, Airbnb, Amazon, Meta, IDRC, UNDP, UNICEF, USAID and the Mastercard Foundation.
Ceri is currently undertaking a Masters in AI Ethics and Society at the University of Cambridge (2025–2027) and holds an undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Cape Town.
