Ameila Davy

Manager (Human Development)

Amelia Davy is a manager in the Human Development Practice. She is based in the UK.

Amelia specialises in Social Sector Financing, with an emphasis on Health Financing, Public Finance Management, and Gender.

Amelia began her career as a Financial Services Consultant at the Audit and Advisory firm KPMG, where she spent 5 years advising global financial institutions on data driven strategy and finance management transformation. 

She is highly proficient in qualitative and quantitative research skills, having received formal training and qualifications from the Cambridge Judge Business School in a range of advanced quantitative methods and software (predictive analytics including machine learning, descriptive analytics, data visualization). She also has expertise in situational analysis, with extensive experience adapting the design and operationalisation of strategic plans to the local legal & regulatory environment.

At Genesis, Amelia has applied her private sector experience to support a range of public sector clients and development partners to analyse social sector finance (including expenditure tracking, efficiency, equity analysis, and public finance management diagnostics) and to support national, sub-national, and local reforms.

Amelia holds a master's in Development from the London School of Economics and Politics and an honours degree from Oxford University in Geography, with a focus in African Studies and Indian Political Economy.
