Akosua Koranteng

Associate Consultant (Evaluation for Development)

Akosua Koranteng is an associate consultant in the Evaluation for Development practice.

Akosua started out her career as research associate at MIT's Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action lab (J-PAL Africa) and has also worked as a monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) consultant for a number of organisations including Allan and Gill Gray Foundation (South Africa), West African Vocational Education (WAVE, Nigeria) and Giving Evidence (UK).

Akosua's expertise is in building MEL frameworks and designing experimental, quasi-experimental and theory-based impact evaluations. She specialises in helping organisations develop their theory of change, logical frameworks and learning strategy. In addition, through her experience in evaluating the efficacy of various social programmes using experimental methods, she has developed specialisation in using MEL frameworks to design robust, evidence-based, agile interventions and social programmes from start to finish.

Akosua holds a bachelor’s in Economics and Finance and an honours in Finance, both from the University of Cape Town.
