Aashiq Jeeva-Patel is a principal in the Financial Services Strategy practice and has worked on various projects involving finance, regulation, investment and payments services. He is based in South Africa.
His engagements have included conducting a comprehensive market sizing of digital banking products in South Africa and identifying ways to increase listings and explore additional SME financing products for an African stock exchange.
Further projects have involved reviewing the impact of the removal of exchange controls on a large African stock exchange, completing a study mapping the future payments architecture for a large retail bank, and developing an end-to-end prepaid card and contactless strategy for a tier-1 South African bank.
Aashiq has a bachelor's and honours degrees in Economics at the University of South Africa, and a master’s in Economics at the University of Stellenbosch.
