    Our submissions on the Competition Amendment Bill (2018)

    The SA Competition Amendment Bill was tabled before Parliament on 11 July 2018 and is due to commence public hearings in late August. In its submission to Parliament, Genesis has proposed a number of changes to the economic provisions in the Bill.

    Genesis advises Media24 in seminal predatory pricing case

    Genesis was retained in 2011 by Media24, a large newspaper and magazine publisher, to defend predatory pricing allegations made against the group by the Competition Commission in what has proven to be South Africa’s seminal predation case. The judgment was delivered by the Competition Appeal Court in March 2018.
