Settlement in health damages claim

Genesis was commissioned to quantify the potential damages in a counter-claim by a medical products distribution firm against a large supplier of medical products.

The claim involved not only estimating the historical gross margin lost, but also potential future gross margin losses. The estimation of damages involved undertaking detailed forecasts of costs and revenues, extrapolated from past performance.

The project team’s report also involved a critical assessment of opposing experts’ estimates and quantification methodology. The affected parties reached settlement outside of the arbitration proces.
