Preparation of the Waterberg District Economic Recovery Plan

The Public Private Growth Initiative (PPGI) is embarking on a programme to replicate its model for public-private engagement and collaboration at district level.

PPGI has been approached and engaged with Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) and other district players to facilitate the private sector’s contribution to the development of a district development plan. This plan is intended to identify priority areas of focus, enable public-private cooperation, and streamline national and district priorities to enable synergy and limit duplication.

Within this programme, the Waterberg District was selected for a pilot and, more specifically, the economic recovery plan. COGTA has spearheaded the template design and initial drafting of this plan. PPGI will strengthen this initial draft.

PPGI has requested that Genesis Analytics provide focused technical assistance to review, augment and revise the Waterberg district development plan over the course of a limited engagement.
