Feeding into GIZ nutrition advocacy strategy
Genesis partnered with GIZ to address the issue of malnutrition affecting women and children across Africa and Asia.
To strengthen the capacity of GIZ staff and partners, Genesis formulated and implemented a robust nutrition advocacy strategy. Our goal was to equip GIZ teams with the skills and techniques to effectively champion and advocate for nutrition.
Our team developed and delivered online capacity-building workshops. These covered essential concepts, tools, skills, strategic planning steps and evaluation methods for effective nutrition advocacy. We also provided remote support to GIZ teams in six countries for developing advocacy strategies and messaging.
The collaboration is part of GIZ’s broader Global Programme on Food and Nutrition Security, Enhanced Resilience, which aims to improve food and nutrition security for women of reproductive age, infants and young children in 10 countries. Effective engagement with societal and political stakeholders is crucial to prioritising nutrition in these regions.
