Expert evidence in Liberty/Spectramed merger

Genesis was retained by Liberty and Spectramed to provide a competitive assessment of the proposed amalgamation between the two companies for filing with Competition Commission.

The project team’s input significantly assisted the parties in demonstrating that the proposed merger would result in a minimal impact on competition in the medical schemes industry and was, in fact, likely to result in a number of pro-competitive gains.

The parties obtained unconditional approval for the merger.
