Commercial due diligence opens way to R1,5-billion deal

Genesis was commissioned by Ethos Private Equity to conduct a commercial due diligence on Crossfin Technology Holdings, a South African fintech platform with assets in payments, digital lending and venture capital.

The team formed a thorough understanding of the entities under Crossfin, providing a full view of its commercial operations and financial performance. 

The team assessed the financial forecasts and performed an analysis of the broader market landscape (including for issuing and acquiring), completed a competitor review for all main entities and conducted a SWOT analysis of the business.

The combined insights from these workstreams were compiled and shared with Ethos and the rest of the investment consortium, leading to a R1.5 billion equity investment.
