Climate stress testing boost for Bank of Thailand

Genesis provided skill-share services to develop the capacity of the Bank of Thailand and enable it to develop and publish policy guidelines for financial institutions on climate stress testing by 2022.

Learnings from the skill-share will enable the bank to involve other financial institutions and implement climate stress testing in Thailand. The bank will also understand how to issue a green taxonomy that fits with Thailand’s context, promoting a greater adoption of green financing.

Genesis’ role in providing these advisory services is part of the UK Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy’s (BEIS) PACT Skill-Share Programme which supports partner countries in areas of strategic climate importance. 

As part of the programme, private sector skill-shares will be managed by an expert deployment team on behalf of BEIS, a consortium led by PA Consulting with support from Crown Agents.
