Africa partner scoping strategy
Genesis was appointed to support a large private foundation in developing the capacity of African partners to serve its charitable objectives of providing education and alleviating poverty.
The foundation wanted to increase the number of direct partnerships that it had with African organisations and required support to find and assess potential partners.
The aim of the project was twofold: to identify potential financial inclusion partners that had the capacity to implement the foundation’s activities, and to highlight the potential partners that had capacity to develop and implement foundation programming, both while assuring the full direction and control of the foundation. We scoped East, West and Southern Africa before focusing on six countries.
