Advice in abusive pricing of steel wire

Genesis was appointed to advise a fencing manufacturer on the formulation of a complaint to the Competition Commission regarding abusive price discrimination by a vertically integrated steel wire supplier.

The complaint was based on the fact that the alleged abuse was being driven by downstream collusion.

The case was ultimately settled through consent orders by the parties involved.
