Advice on additional taxation on beer products

Genesis was commissioned to assist a leading beer producer in responding effectively to the National Treasury after Treasury had proposed an increase in taxation on beer products, but not on other alcoholic beverages, such as wine.

The project team was required to address such wide-ranging issues as the potential increase in revenue for Treasury, the effect the proposed tax would have on consumption and potential positive social consequences of the tax.
