
Genesis Analytics appoints Gavin Krugel as partner to spearhead the expansion of Digital Public Infrastructure

Genesis Analytics has named Gavin Krugel as a partner within its Centre of Digital Excellence (CODE) practice, marking a strategic move in the firm’s mission to advance digital public infrastructure (DPI), AI and inclusive technological solutions across global emerging markets. Krugel will assume the role on July 1.

Krugel is a leader in digital innovation, with experience across fintech, edtech, healthtech, telecoms and financial services. He specialises in frontier technologies: technologies that lead to improving life, with a recent focus on AI and DPI for sustainable impact.
He co-founded the Digital Frontiers Institute and was the CEO of Digital Frontiers for the last decade. He drove the organisation’s expansion to over 180 countries, empowering more than 5,000 partners to leverage cutting-edge digital solutions for sustainable development.
Krugel’s career highlights include being one of the early pioneers in mobile payments, spearheading mobile payment innovations as chief strategy officer at Fundamo (a Visa company) and vice president at Visa, where he advanced digital financial services in emerging markets. At GSMA, he led global initiatives in fintech and healthtech, shaping the evolution of digital economies.
He has also served on the boards of Digital Frontiers and DiaspoCare and as Chair of TroyTyla Holdings. He holds an MBA from Grenoble Ecole de Management and executive credentials from Harvard Business School and UC Berkeley.
