Cable theft costs SA R47 billion a year – charge thieves with treason

The South African Government has proposed a six-month ban on the export of copper waste, and scrap and semi-finished metals to halt the damage caused to the economy and public infrastructure. 

Genesis Analytics conducted research on government’s behalf to determine the cost of cable theft to the economy.
