Genesis Analytics is presenting the findings of our evaluation of the impact of Soul Buddyz Clubs on young women between 2004 and 2008 at the SA AIDS Conference in Durban on 13 June.
Our Health practice was asked to determine the long-term impact of the club on the then members’ overall health (including HIV status), community participation and level of education.
The challenges included finding and recruiting members without a sample frame, and establishing an appropriate control group. This is an important study as there has been little evidence to date of the impact of prevention campaigns at schools.
