Wanjiku Kimani
Senior Associate (Centre of Digital Excellence)
Wanjiku Kimani is a senior associate in the Centre of Digital Excellence. She is based in Nairobi.
She has worked as an economic consultant in the financial services industry across Africa where her role has been to support financial sector players such as banks, payments service providers, financial sector regulators and development finance institutions.
She was a data fellow at Wasoko, the fastest growing retail start-up in East Africa, where she helped to launch their financial services product.
As a venture partner and admissions lead at The Baobab Network, Wanjiku was involved in vetting, investing and supporting more than 20 early-stage technology startups across eight African countries.
Wanjiku grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. She has an undergraduate degree in Management Science and an honours in Economics from Stellenbosch University in South Africa, and a master’s in Management and Strategy from the London School of Economics.
