Sarah Hare is a principal procurement specialist in Genesis Procurement Services, based in the UK.
She has significant expertise in public procurement within the international development sector. Sarah has worked in all areas of the procurement cycle including goods, works and services for sectors such as medical goods, health services, renewable energy installations and market commodities.
Her experience spans countries such as Barbados, Bolivia, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guyana, Japan, Malawi, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nigeria and Zambia.
Sarah is a skilled procurement consultant specialising in procurement reform, encompassing regulations, procedures, procurement tools, organisational restructuring and staff capacity building. Sarah worked as deputy programme manager for the Sida-funded Global Capacity Development Programme on Sustainable Public Procurement, managing a team that provided capacity development to the governments of Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
She has expertise in governance roles, often acting as project director or manager with responsibility for project teams and budgets.
Sarah holds a bachelor’s in Sociology from Kingston University.
