Natalie Lamprell
Manager (Human Development)
Natalie Lamprell is a manager for the Human Development practice, based in London.
She is an education specialist and has consulted for organisations across Sub-Saharan Africa including PEAS, Justice Rising and the African Leadership Academy.
Natalie worked as the director of professional development and curriculum for Rising Academies in Sierra Leone. Rising is one of the fastest-growing education companies in Africa. Natalie led on the creation and delivery of the curriculum which spanned early years through to senior secondary and was implemented in Sierra Leone, Ghana and Liberia (through a public-private partnership). She also developed the initial teacher training programmes and in-service coaching model. Independent evaluations found that students in Rising Schools made 2 to 3 times as much progress as students in comparable schools.
The foundation of Natalie’s career is in the classroom. She began as an English teacher and has since served as a middle leader and then a deputy headteacher. Throughout her career, Natalie has led on the design, implementation and evaluation of literacy programmes. She knows the transformative impact literacy can have especially for the most under-served students.
Natalie has a degree in English from the University of Sussex and the equivalent of a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
