Dr Morategi Kale
Associate (Human Development)
Dr Morategi Kale is an associate in the Human Development practice in England.
She specialises in youth development, higher education, skills development, employment and entrepreneurship. At Genesis, Morategi has supported projects such as developing employability toolkits for Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, digital learning analysis in Zambia, youth programming in Niger, and analysing education systems in the Global South.
Previously she worked at the Africa Oxford Initiative and the Rhodes Trust, designing transformative and inclusive programmes for African students at the University of Oxford.
Morategi holds a doctorate in Human Geography from the University of Oxford, where her research focused on how higher education, future work prospects and changing social norms affect unemployed graduates in South Africa. She has an honours in International Relations and Philosophy from the University of Cape Town and a master’s in African Studies from the University of Oxford, completed as a Rhodes Scholar.
