Louisa Bare is a principal procurement specialist in Genesis Procurement Services, based in the UK.
She has wide experience in project and supply chain management as well as transactional procurement.
As head of procurement delivery for Crown Agents, Louisa oversaw procurement services worldwide, managed resources in the UK and international offices, and contributed to the overall strategy of the Global Procurement Business. She wrote Crown Agents’ procurement operational policy, trained staff and ensured compliance across the global delivery platform.
She has expertise in health sector procurement, working on pharmaceutical and medical projects. She has managed the supply of essential medicines, ARVs, reproductive health commodities, medical and laboratory equipment, and consumables funded by a range of donors such as the FCDO, EU, DFID and the Global Fund, as well as directly for Ministries of Health.
Louisa led the procurement of emergency supplies to Ukraine during the current conflict as well as laboratory and medical equipment for the F&CO response to Covid-19 and Ebola in Sierra Leone. She also managed procurement for Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Health and NatPharm, ensuring that urgent medical supplies and drugs were procured efficiently and within short timeframes.
