Dr Jesse Werner

Dr Jesse Werner is a manager in the Health practice.
Before joining Genesis she was a deputy director in Infrastructure and Technical Management Support in the Western Cape. Her experience in the Western Cape Department of Health spanned quality assurance, information management, programme impact and evaluation, district health service management, and hospital management.
Jesse also has worked as a medical practitioner in three South African provinces. She is passionate about strengthening health systems and using data for action in healthcare. She believes her training can play a meaningful role in improving the district health system and the generation of public value.
She has a MBBCh from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and later graduated from the University of Cape Town as a public health medicine specialist. She has also completed the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business’s associate in management programme.
