Frances Fraser

Team leader (Africa Trade and Investment)

Frances Fraser is the team leader on the USAID Africa Trade and Investment (ATI) Southern Africa Buy-In Activity project, which aims to advance two-way trade deals between African nations and the United States and also through contributing towards improving food security on the continent.

Prior to this she was an agribusiness specialist on the USAID’s Southern Africa Trade and Investment Hub (SATIH) project. USAID commissioned Genesis to be a lead support on export competitiveness and the agribusiness components in their flagship project.

Before then she worked at Positive Planet International (PPI) (formerly PlaNet Finance), a French NGO assisting vulnerable populations in Africa and the Middle East create conditions for a better life over the last 20 years. She has also worked at Absa Bank as a Manager: Customer Value Proposition (CVP) and DAI Africa (Development Alternatives Inc) as a researcher.

Frances has a master’s in Business Administration from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (University of Pretoria), a master’s and honours in Agricultural Economics, and a bachelor’s of Commerce (Informatics), all from the University of Pretoria
