Assegid Hellebo
Associate (Health)
Assegid Hellebo is an associate health economist in the Health practice. He is based in South Africa.
Prior to joining Genesis Analytics, Assegid worked as a research analyst and health economist at the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of Cape Town. He also has experience in economic evaluations and health costing analysis. His interests include NCDs prevention, burden, cost-effectiveness analysis, productivity loss, health-related quality of life and public health research.
Assegid has a master's in Health Economics from the University of Cape Town. He was also part of the Oxford University's Population Health programme as one of two African researchers in the first cohort of the virtual visitors' programme in 2022.
