We recruit globally for young talent that is passionate about unlocking value on the continent. Successful candidates are placed into a niche practice area that best suits their skill set, interests and personal capability.

You will be working on some of the most important challenges in the world, from Day 1 and be taught advanced problem-solving and consulting skills, and use them from the start.

We recruit newly or recently qualified graduates from African and international universities to join as analysts. On occasion, honours students and external junior hires with up to one year's working experience may also be considered for analyst positions.

Our mass recruitment programme runs according to the academic calendars in Africa and overseas. We recruit internationally from September to December in the Northern Hemisphere and in Africa from April to June each year. 

These processes are designed for current students at university-level or recently qualified and employed graduates who would like to pursue opportunities at Genesis. Applications for the 2024 Intake in Africa are now closed. 

The international round is now closed with first round interviews taking place from 4th - 15th December. The dates for the 2024 international round will be published here in mid 2024."

At a graduate level, we require a minimum set of documentation to establish your suitability for opportunities at Genesis. 

Your application must consist of:

• A page-long letter motivating for your candidature. Within this, you must nominate and document three (3) practice areas that are of preference to you
• A clearly written comprehensive CV
• A clear copy of your academic transcripts for every year of study to date. Note, these must be submitted as one document and not separate documents
• Your high school/secondary school certificate
• A copy of your personal identification, or a passport
• A writing sample in the form of a research paper (e.g. thesis or dissertation) from the current year of study. Note that you must be the sole author of this written piece.

Please follow the online application process as outlined above and on the Genesis website. We use an automated applicant tracking system in order to receive and manage all applications. For this reason, we do not accept applications sent via email. This is also in line with the POPI Act 4 of 2013.

For opportunities that are actively advertised, the following process may apply:

• Applications are received and screened against required skills, competencies and experience

• An initial exploratory telephonic interview will be held

• You will be asked to complete an online case study assessment

• Shortlisted candidates will undergo a panel interview

• Successful candidates are added to our internship database and offers are made dependent on available project work.
