Helping hands for early childhood education in Lebanon

Genesis has joined forces with the World Bank and the Lebanese Ministry of Education to strengthen the Early Childhood Education (ECE) system in that country. The project, which started in June 2022, aims to increase the enrolment and quality of ECE services for children aged three to six years.

The team is working on a costed strategy that will expand access to and quality of ECE provision, as well as an assessment framework that will cover all aspects of ECE learning outcomes.

To support evidence-based decision-making, we are developing a user-friendly dashboard that will be integrated into the ministry’s education management system. This dynamic tool will allow for monitoring and analysis of ECE indicators.

An ECE teaching/learning package will be developed to supplement learning materials for teachers and students.

This collaborative effort represents a commitment to the advancement of ECE in Lebanon. It aspires to not only broaden access but also elevate the quality of education for the nation’s youngest learners, setting a foundation for their future success.
