We continue to support UK’s flagship family planning plan

2 December 2020

Genesis has been contracted by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) to conduct the second round of client exit interviews (CEIs) for family planning clients in 17 countries in Africa and Asia through the WISH2 project.

This project is part of the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office’s (FCDO) flagship family planning programme: Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH). The WISH programme is implemented by a consortium of partners, including IPPF lot two and Marie Stopes International lot one in 26 countries across Africa and Asia. The programme aims to reach an additional 4.1 million additional family planning users by 2021.

The CEIs are used to determine if underserved populations are being reached, monitor progress towards programmatic targets and provide input to adaptive programming and learning. Genesis completed the first round of CEIs in 2019/2020. The findings for programmatic adaptation are being incorporated into the WISH programme. Round two of the CEIs will provide a data point of the programmatic progress as well as the impact of the adaptive programming and identify the need for any additional adaptation.

The Genesis Health practice is working with Ipsos Limited (a global market researcher) in conducting this project.

Project plans to reach 4.1m more family planning users by 2020
