Sarah Wewege
Senior Associate (Climate Finance and Economics)
Sarah Wewege is a senior associate in the Climate Finance and Economics practice, and is based in South Africa.
She has crosscutting experience in the climate change and sustainability space, having worked on various projects for the African Development Bank, Development Bank of Southern Africa, South Africa’s National Treasury, the Global Water Partnership, and the Green Climate Fund amongst others.
These projects have included developing ‘Climate Risk and Opportunity’ and ‘Business Carbon Footprinting’ toolkits for SMEs across Africa, development of resource mobilisation plans in the water sector for African regions, the development of various energy and climate finance concept notes and conducting capacity needs assessments.
Sarah’s key skills lie in research and analysis, training, capacity building and stakeholder engagement. She holds a master's in Economic Development and honours in International Relations, both from the University of Cape Town.
